Dave Bergeson, Ph.D., CAE , VP of Client Relations at Association Management Center
Dave currently serves one of AMC’s primary consultants, as well as Vice President of Client Relations at AMC. Over the last 20 years, Dave served as Executive Director of several professional organizations, most recently with the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses. Under Dave’s leadership APHON has grown significantly and was awarded multiple “Trendy” awards and two ASAE Power of A Awards. Dave has also developed a strong record of managing successful consulting projects for clients both inside and outside of AMC. Recent projects include Board Self Assessments, Board Orientation, Strategic Planning, Board Governance Restructuring, Committee and Task Force Restructuring, Effective Board Governance, and Effective Component Relationships. Dave served on the Board of Association Forum for several years, including Chair in 2016.

Mark Engle, DM FASAE, CAE Association Management Center, Owner
Mark is a principal with AMC in Chicago, IL. AMC is headquarters to 29 associations with a staff of 220 talented professionals. Mark received his Doctor of Management degree in 2011 from Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH) with his study in nonprofit governance. He is a frequent author and speaker on governance and high-performing organizations and is a faculty member of ASAE’s Exceptional Boards program. Mark was honored with the Samuel Shapiro Award—Outstanding CEO—Association Forum of Chicagoland and was inducted into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives and the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Leadership (Case Western Reserve University and has participated in over 300 board meetings during his career.
